Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln is seeking a Bed Coordinator (PRN) to oversee patient bed placement and improve throughput across the organization. This role works with department leaders and the medical staff to ensure appropriate bed management and coordinated care.

The position requires ADN, ACLS/BLS within 90 days, and an RN license in good standing. You will attend daily bed management meetings and collaborate with nursing supervisors to optimize patient flow and outcomes.

Qualifications

• ADN is required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• RN-Registered Nurse license per Illinois board.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient bed placement and throughput.
• Attend Bed Management meetings to facilitate patient flow.
• Assist VP and department leaders in achieving organizational objectives.
• Provide patient information to authorized personnel.
• Develop and evaluate care plans with appropriate disciplines.
• Communicate effectively between departments and nursing teams.
• Implement care plans in alignment with safety and infection control standards.
