Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Evanston for a part-time position (32 hr/wk). Flexible start times from 5 a.m. to noon with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Travel to other Endeavor Hospitals may be required. Responsibilities include independent nursing care, applying the nursing process, involving patients and families, maintaining regulatory compliance, directing unlicensed staff, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• License/Certification/Experience: IL RN License; CPR/BLS; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assumes responsibility and authority for outcomes of nursing care and decisions.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do:

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification/Experience: IL RN License CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred CPAN/CAPA preferred.
