Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse for evening, part-time shifts (5p–11p, M‑W‑F) with call requirements and potential travel to other Endeavor Hospitals. You will provide safe nursing care, apply the nursing process, and involve patients and families in care decisions.

Requirements include graduating from a state approved nursing program, IL RN license, and CPR/BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Perioperative ECT care and PACU/ICU experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved nursing program.
• IL RN License required.
• 1 year experience in a comparable role preferred (PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health).
• CPR/BLS by American Heart Association required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• CPAN/CAPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Use nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care; involve patients and families.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and take responsibility for outcomes of nursing care.
• Guide unlicensed staff in delivering interdisciplinary patient care and collaborate with the care team.
• Perioperative care for patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT); phase 1&2 care with anesthesia support.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights

Part time Hours: 5p to 11p M‑W‑F with call requirements

What you will do:

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient. Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Perioperative care of patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Phase 1 &2 care of peri anesthesia patients from the Operating Rooms and supporting procedure areas.

What you will need:

Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.

License/Certification/Experience: IL RN License 1 year experience in comparable role, PACU/ ICU/ Behavioral Health experience preferred. CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association. ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred. CPAN/CAPA preferred.
