Job summary

Northeast Recovery in Ashby, MA, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our overnight team. You will provide quality nursing care aligned with individualized needs, administer medications, and document in our KIPU EMR system.

This role requires RN licensure, CPR certification, and experience with Substance Use patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff, participate in safety procedures, and support the recovery program's patient care goals.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active RN license and CPR certification.
  • Experience with Substance Use patients preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to comply with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and evaluates the physical and emotional status of clients and takes action where necessary.
  • Prepares and monitors medications and treatments, and documents them in KIPU, our EMR system.
  • Provides medical care to clients enrolled in our outpatient treatment program.
  • Triage client medical issues and coordinates with staff MD and psychiatrist.
  • Develops curriculum and performs training for DPH mandated education to staff.

We use a whole-patient approach built on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and compassion.We are looking for full time and part time Registered Nurses at our Spring Hill Recovery Center in Ashby MA!Salary: $40 - $47 per hour plus overnight shift differentialsShift: Overnight shiftJob Summary: Our Nurses are responsible for providing quality nursing care to clients based on individualized needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions and conformance with recognized nursing techniques and established standards. You must comply with established policies and procedures. Applicants will be exposed to highly confidential information which requires use of discretion. Contact involves Executive Staff, fellow staff members, and representatives of other agencies. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.Requirements:Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.Knowledge of addiction issues and the 12-Step Recovery Program.Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and their family.Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose including First Aid and CPR.Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: Confidentiality, Patient Rights, Professional Code of Ethics and DiscriminationDemonstrates Proficiency in Communication, observation & Written skills.Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.Essential ResponsibilitiesObserves and evaluates the physical and emotional status of clients and takes action where necessary.Prepares and monitors medications and treatments, and documents them in KIPU, our EMR system.Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.Provides medical care to clients enrolled in our outpatient treatment program.Triage client medical issues and takes action where appropriate.Schedule appointments as needed.Documents client status on summaries, nurses' notes and other reports as needed in EMR.Develops curriculum and performs training for all DPH mandated education to staff.Assists and coordinates medical care with staff MD and psychiatrist.Experience:Experience working with Substance Use patients1+ year of experience as a staff nurseRequired Qualifications/Licensure & Certifications:RN LicensureCPR certifiedEducation:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingPhysical Nature of the Job: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
