Job summary

Endocrine News in Skokie is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift with starts between 5:00 and 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. The role involves providing safe, compassionate nursing care on a designated unit and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required IL RN license and CPR/BLS certification; BSN preferred. 6 months RN experience is preferred; travel to Evanston, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals may be needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing with licensure in Illinois.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience in a comparable role preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with patient care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the patient plan of care for a specific unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Guide unlicensed staff in delivering interdisciplinary care.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Skokie (ability to travel to Evanston, Glenbrook and Highland Park Hospitals)
• Full time
• Hours: Availability to start between 5am and 11:30am (8 hr shift based off start time) Mon - Fri

What you will do

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient. Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 6 mths RN experience in comparable role - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
