Job summary

Essentia Health Surgery Center in Grand Rapids seeks an experienced nurse to provide patient care in the ambulatory surgery setting. You will follow nursing standards and center policies, communicating with physicians, patients, families, and other departments.

You will help manage patient flow and support the facility's mission and regulatory requirements. The role requires a BSN or ADN, at least 2 years of hospital/ASC OR experience, and current state nursing licensure with BCLS within one

Job Description:

Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. In conjunction with team members directs the patient flow of the day. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Operating Room
• Must have experience with electronic medical records

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
