Prime Healthcare is seeking a Recovery Room RN at St Mary''s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO. The part-time night shift is 8 hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with days available in the Surgical Center department.

The RN will deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within perioperative scope. Responsibilities include postoperative care coordination with surgeons and anesthesiologists, communication of patient status to physicians, interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on the job training.
• CNOR certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the postoperative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Communicates changes in the patient''s clinical condition to the physician.
• Works with other departments to provide quality patient care and efficient flow.
• Ensures adherence to regulations and hospital policies and procedures.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Location:St Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO

We are seeking a Recovery Room RN to join our team! The Surgical Center RN is accountable directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the scope of services.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Coordinates the post-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the clinic.
• He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
• Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
• Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training

4. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred

5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable, required):

6. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

7. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
