Prime Healthcare is seeking a Recovery Room Nurse (RN) to join a close-knit perioperative team at the Kansas City facility. You will provide comprehensive PACU care for patients undergoing orthopedics, podiatry, GI, and general surgeries, ensuring safe anesthesia recovery and effective post-operative management.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to standards, and active participation in improvement activities within a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (AHA) certification 30 days upon hire and maintain.
• Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process for all patients within the PACU scope.
• Coordinates post-operative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist; guides staff while maintaining standards.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physician, including monitoring and test results.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure quality care and efficient patient flow.
• Adheres to regulations, standards, and hospital policies; participates in performance improvement.
• Participates in unit meetings and in-services; acts as resource for staff.

We are seeking a Recovery Room Nurse ( RN), to join our growing team. You will be a part of a close-knit, highly collaborative operating room team that assists with Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and General Surgeries. The Recovery Room RN is an essential member of the perioperative team, who advocates for patients that are under anesthesia and/or sedation

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities inculde but are not limited to:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the PACU scope of services.
• The Registered Nurse also coordinates the post-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the PACU.
• He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
• Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
• Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
