Amedisys, part of the Optum family, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our hospice team on an on-call basis. Schedule is Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5p to 8a, with responsibilities including triage, patient assessment, care coordination, and education for patients and caregivers.

Current RN license in the assigned state, CPR certification, and 1+ year of nursing experience are required. A valid driver’s license and liability insurance are also needed.

Registered Nurse - Hospice After Hour On-Call RN

On-Call Schedule: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5p-8a

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide on-call nursing support, triaging patient needs and determining appropriate interventions
• Assess patient conditions via phone and/or in-person visits and escalated care as needed
• Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and caregivers to ensure timely and effective care delivery
• Deliver patient and caregiver education related to symptom management and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and clinical decisions

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or acute care
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $90,650.00 to $135,976.00 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
