Job summary

Ambercare Hospice in Espanola, NM seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse Admissions to join a refreshed team dedicated to delivering exceptional end-of-life care.

In this role you will perform pre-admission evaluations, educate families about services, obtain informed consent, and develop initial plans of care to optimize comfort and quality of life for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed RN in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice experience preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
• Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
• Obtains informed consent
• Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
• Must possess current CPR Certification
• 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
