Job summary

Mt. Grant General Hospital in Nevada seeks a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, direct and evaluate care under Medical Staff and Nursing leadership. The role includes supervising staff, orienting new hires and ensuring nursing quality across Acute Care and Emergency Department settings.

Candidates must hold a Nevada RN license, CPR, PALS and ACLS certifications, plus pass mandatory background checks and annual training; trauma nursing certification is required for ER/OR work. Mt.

Job description

Definition of position: Under direction of the Medical Staff and Director of Nursing, the registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, directs, and evaluates in accordance with the authorized scope of practice specified in the Nurse Practice Act and performs supervisory duties of lower level staff. The registered nurse is responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel, as directed, and may act as the charge nurse. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. Registered Nurses in this capacity are expected to work in the Acute Care setting and Emergency Department setting.

Experience and Training:

Possess or ability to possess, and maintain a current RN license in the State of Nevada AND

Maintain current certification in CPR AND

Participate in annual mandatory training AND

Maintain current certification in PALS and ACLS required for working in acute, emergency room, operating room AND

Receive certification in Trauma Nursing once during employment AND

Per NRS 449 and NRS 200, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.

Wages and Benefits: Wage $36.00/hr+ DOE. Registered Nurses are eligible for first day insurance, sign-on bonus and relocation expense.
