Job summary

Renown Health seeks an Acute Float Pool RN for Emergency Care to deliver high-quality patient care across age groups. You will float to units across Renown Health facilities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include Nevada RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC certifications and one year ER experience preferred. Strong assessment, planning and critical thinking are essential in this evolving role.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nevada RN license and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• One year of acute Emergency Room care experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC certifications required or within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations in acute settings.
• Coordinate care between clinicians and departments within Renown Health facilities.
• Float to acute care hospitals and units where competencies are demonstrated.
• Adhere to evidence-based nursing practice and ANA ethics.

The RN is accountable for individualized patient care and outcomes over an entire episode of care. This position may be utilized as a resource RN the Acute Emergency Services Division, including Renown Regional Medical Center and Renown South Meadows in the units where competencies are assessed and demonstrated.## Nature and ScopeThis position must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and families.This position must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensor, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served and meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department special populations competency standards.When possible, the family or those significant to the family are considered as part of the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation efforts of this position. The Acute Float Pool RN Emergency Care coordinates care between other professionals.Evidence-based nursing practice, along with critical thinking skills are required to provide optimally safe patient care when interacting with internal and external contacts and exercising judgment and making decisions.
