Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated nursing manager to join our team. In this role, you will ensure safe and efficient patient care in the emergency room, collaborating closely with the Nursing Management Team to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with leadership experience in acute care, hold valid nursing credentials in Nevada, and possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills. We proudly offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associates Degree required, BSN preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nevada.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred.

Salary Estimate

Salary estimate: $114,545.60 – $171,808.00 per year.

Responsibilities
  • You will participate as an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team and assume responsibility for facilitating safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care for patients in the emergency room.
  • You will monitor and control expense performance to ensure efficient operations, promote clinical initiatives, patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • As part of the Nursing Management Team, you will evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and services, and collaborate with the management team and physicians for improving patient outcomes.
  • You may also work as a Registered Nurse in the capacity of House Supervisor in addition to being a clinical nurse in a variety of areas within the hospital based upon knowledge, skills and abilities. As a Registered Nurse, you will maintain current competency with nursing skills and demonstrate knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice.
  • You will demonstrate judgment, discretion, diplomacy and a working knowledge of Hospital and Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associates Degree Required, BSN Preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
  • Active CPR, ACLS, PALS.
  • Minimum of 2‑5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred.
  • Knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment; prefer psychiatric nursing experience as a registered nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership/management and establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment.
