Kindred Hospital Philadelphia - Havertown and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 66-bed hospital offering in-depth care for extended recovery. The ARU focuses on patients who have experienced acute injuries or illnesses and requires a dedicated RN to plan and deliver care across an interdisciplinary team.

The role involves developing and updating nursing care plans, communicating changes in patient status to physicians and supervisors, and participating in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN/ASN or diploma).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and update patient care plans in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and colleagues.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Document patient admissions, assessments, plans, and care in the medical record.
• Administer medications using the five rights of medication administration.
