SoftPath Medical in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Telemetry Post-Surgical Unit. The role supports a busy post-surgical unit caring for patients from urology and gynecological specialties.

Choose between 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours, with overtime after 48 hours on 4x12 schedules. Maintain a 7:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and comply with Epic EHR requirements. Virginia license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent relevant nursing experience required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of application; no exceptions.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

6W Med/Surg Tele – Post-Surgical UnitThis is a busy post-surgical unit caring for patients, including those from urology and gynecological surgical specialties.

Schedule Options

• Choose between 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours each
• Overtime pay applies after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Applicants must indicate their preferred schedule when applying
• Work every other weekend, floating, and holiday shifts as outlined in the contract
• Travel nurses are required to work two out of three winter holidays

Patient Ratios

The standard patient-to-nurse ratio is 7:1.Candidates should be fully prepared and comfortable with this ratio before applying.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of two years recent relevant nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience is preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of application; no exceptions
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
