Job summary

Pathway Family Services seeks a Full-Time Lead Nurse to oversee a health care team in a residential treatment setting for children and adolescents. You will ensure assessments, medication orders, and education of patients and families are completed with a trauma-informed approach.

The role requires Kansas RN licensure, 21+ age, and a willingness to collaborate with facility administration to cover a 24/7 schedule. This is an in-office position with opportunities for leadership growth.

Qualifications

• In-office/daily presence in residential facility.
• Must be 21+ and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of health care professionals overseeing treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children/adolescents in residential care.
• Provide nursing care for children working to overcome trauma in residential behavioral health settings.
• Ensure assessments are completed, medication management orders fulfilled, and documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
• Coordinate health appointments and in-house medication provider visits, and educate children and families about care.

We are looking for a Full-Time Lead Nurse to add to our team!

A Day In The Life As a Lead Nurse

At Pathway, our Lead Nurse leads a team of health care professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of our children/ adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. Providing nursing care for children who are working to overcome the trauma they have experienced, the Lead Nurse ensures that all assessments are completed, medication management orders are fulfilled, and children and families are educated about the care they are receiving. The Lead Nurse and their team coordinate and complete health appointments, and appointments with in-house medication providers. The Lead Nurse ensures that all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.

• Schedule is flexible and determined in collaboration with facility administration in order for the team to cover all needs of a 24/7 residential facility.
• Supervision experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients. Must have a valid drivers' insurance.
• Must be eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
