Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 East Med Surg Overflow unit at the MetroHealth Main Campus. This role supports inpatient medicine, spinal surgery recovery, and trauma overflow with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on MetroHealth Main Campus 4 East Medical/Surgical Overflow unit.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT.
• Time management, critical thinking and effective delegation in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Bi-weekly Hours: 64.00

Shift : D/E; 0700-1530, 1500-2330, 0700-1930, 1100-2330

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medicine
• Spinal surgery recovery
• Trauma overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Traction, various drains, wound care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio

Preferred Qualifications:
