Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Georgia provides direct patient care on assigned units using the nursing process. The RN demonstrates professional growth by taking on Shift Leader responsibilities as requested and prepares for advancement to Level II or Level III.

Care is provided to adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, or adolescents as assigned, with strong teamwork and adherence to policies. Education includes graduation from an accredited nursing program; licensure as an RN in GA or multi-state license

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in Georgia or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Assist with Shift Leader responsibilities as requested and prepare for advancement to Level II or III.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure timely and effective patient care and maintain quality standards.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct care to patients on a given unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Is responsible for managing care of assigned patients. Demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming Shift Leader responsibilities as requested and/or in preparation for advancement to Level II or Level III. Works primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations or pediatric and adolescent patients on assigned units. Demonstrates ability to provide timely and efficient patient care to meet patient needs and expectations. Fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration with staff members. Performs all standards in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing

Licensure : Current RN license in the State of Georgia or a multi‑state license meeting eNLC criteria. American Heart Association BLS CPR required; PALS preferred

Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.

Competency consistent with core nursing skills. Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and other associates throughout the organization in order to provide excellent care and maintain effective working relationships.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in typical acute health care setting with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical and/or surgical problems. Required to work flexible schedule including weekends. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.
