A leading healthcare provider in Virginia Beach is seeking a Radiological Technologist for urgent care services. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic studies, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, along with relevant experience and certifications.
The Radiological Technologist – Urgent Care reports to department leadership and, under the direction of a provider/nurse/MLT, supports and assists with clinical and laboratory services to enhance patient flow and satisfaction. Responsibilities include accurately obtaining, documenting, and reporting variances for history, vital signs, EKGs, and growth parameters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must provide records of completed diploma or academic transcript if performing laboratory or point-of-care testing.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment involves radiology/imaging areas with occasional exposure to unpleasant odors, infectious agents, and radiation. Safety procedures, protective equipment, and exposure badges are used to minimize risks. Standing for long periods and lifting patients may be required.
