Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Venice, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pre Admission Testing department. You will provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting, guided by the ANA standards and our nursing practice model.

The role requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred) and active FL RN license, with basic computer skills and completion of orthopedic education as part of onboarding. BLS/CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• BSN degree required or expected within specified timeframe for new hires as per policy.
• Annual orthopedic education requirements upon hire and annually thereafter.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Require successful completion of annual Orthopedic Education requirements upon hire and then annually as outlined in the Orthopedic Program(s) Education Plan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.
