Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a registered nurse for the Behavioral Health IP department. Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting under the nursing practice model and ANA standards.

Required BSN by policy for new hires after 2012; graduation from an accredited program; FL RN license and BLS/CPR. ACLS and psychiatry specialty certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer applications knowledge is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or a diploma program is required.
• For new hires after 2012, a BSN is required within the specified timeframe as per policy.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
