Job summary

Sligo Creek Healthcare in Takoma Park, MD seeks a Staff Registered Nurse to provide quality care in a skilled nursing facility. The role offers flexible shifts, PTO, overtime pay, and a generous sign-on bonus for full-time applicants.

You will work with physicians on care plans, supervise GNAs and LPNs, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, committed to high standards, and interested in advancement into management.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines.
• Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting is preferable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess their needs to provide quality care.
• Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures.
• Maintain complete healthcare records and reports.
• Supervise, manage, and train LPNs and GNAs on staff.
• Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility.
