Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF). You will provide professional nursing care guided by our nursing practice model and applicable professional standards to patients and families in an acute clinical care setting.

The role requires a nursing diploma or RN license, with a BSN expected within a defined period. Stroke Scale Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire, and CPR/BLS is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Stroke Scale Certification required within ninety (90) days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program; BSN required within timeframe as outlined in policy.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ARN’s and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require Stroke Scale Certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) or Med-Surg certification.
• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

Preferred Education

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required License and Certs

• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License

Preferred License and Certs

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
