Job summary

The Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ultimate Float Team. The role provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical environment, and may float to all SMHCS hospital campuses.

Under the Sarasota Memorial nursing professional practice model and the ANA Standards of Professional Practice, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required within timeframe for new hires after 2012.
• Two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within thirty days of hire.

Job Summary

May float to all Sarasota Memorial Health Care System hospital campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Require two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Require successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• Require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire.
• Require National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
