Job summary

Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care across PreOp, PACU, and cross training to the Operating Room. The role emphasizes safe, patient-family centered care in a high-quality surgical environment.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania, and bring 1–3 years of PreOp/PACU or critical care experience with OR exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• 1–3 years of PreOp/PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Operating Room experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality perioperative patient care using the nursing process and plan of care.
• Deliver safe, effective, patient-family centered care in PreOp, PACU and cross train to OR.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians.

Registered Nurse at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The ideal candidate will work in all areas: PreOp, PACU and cross train to the Operating Room.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care. Operating Room experience a plus!
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
