Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for immediate placement at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN will provide high-quality perioperative care across PreOp, PACU, and cross-train to the Operating Room.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of PreOp/PACU or Critical Care experience, a PA license, and current BLS/ALS/PALS certifications. Strong teamwork and communication with patients, families, and physicians are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania.
• 1–3 years in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care; OR experience a plus.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using nursing process and plan of care in perioperative services.
• Deliver safe, patient-family centered care across PreOp, PACU, with cross-training to OR.

Registered Nurse at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The ideal candidate will work in all areas: PreOp, PACU and cross train to the Operating Room.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care. Operating Room experience a plus!
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
