Job summary

USPI Parkway Surgery Center in Henderson, NV is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for PreOp and PostOp roles in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The RN provides quality patient care using the nursing process and follows the medical plan of care, policies, and patient-family centered care across perioperative services.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call, nights, weekends, or holiday hours, and requires at least six shifts per month.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NV Nursing License.
• 2+ years experience in Pre-Op Post-Op, ambulatory setting preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
• Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and respond accordingly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professional ethics.

What You Will Do (Job Summary):

The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op PostOp supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

• Monday-Friday work schedule

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current NV Nursing License
• 2+ years experience in Pre-Op PostOp. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordingly
• Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
