Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas is seeking an RN to provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and coordinate with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or BSN, has an active Kansas RN license, and is comfortable with varied shifts including weekends. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. Join a dedicated nursing team focused on resident wellbeing.

Formación

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.

• 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, and medication administration.

• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotation.

Position Type: FT/PT 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a and weekend only 16-hour shift Sat and Sun

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team at Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address concerns and provide updates on patient status.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Training and Supervision: Mentor and guide nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations.
• Participation: Works with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
