Job summary

Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas is seeking an RN to provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and coordinate with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or BSN, has an active Kansas RN license, and is comfortable with varied shifts including weekends. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. Join a dedicated nursing team focused on resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Kansas RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, and medication administration.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the care team.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff about patient status.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, interventions, and outcomes.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff (LPNs and CNAs) as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and infection control.
• Respond to medical emergencies with sound clinical judgment.
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotation.
