Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
• BLS certification required before patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Unit-specific certifications may be required.
• Commitment to continuous learning and accurate EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients: Evaluate physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs while collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Develop care plans: Create personalized care plans that prioritize patient needs and goals with patients and families.
• Deliver patient care: Provide evidence-based care, educate patients and families, and implement interventions per hospital policies.
• Evaluate outcomes: Monitor patient responses and adjust care based on outcomes and evidence-based practices.
• Drive improvement: Develop and evaluate Performance Improvement initiatives with the Clinical Manager.
• Promote High Reliability: Apply High Reliability principles to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor: Motivate, educate, delegate, and mentor peers while managing patient care.
• Document care: Accurately document the nursing process, plan of care, education, updates, and patient/family responses in EMR.
• Maintain compliance: Follow organizational and department policies and complete required training.
