Paradigm Healthcare is seeking licensed RNs for full-time positions in Matagorda, TX. Eligible nurses may receive CMS incentives up to $50,000, plus up to $40,000 in student loan repayment and a $10,000 CMS Nurses for Nursing Homes stipend.

Candidates should plan 30+ hours weekly and commit to three years of service. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, planning resident care per physician orders, and ensuring policy compliance while supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of practice.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 2 years’ Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• 6 months experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy: Outlook, Office, Internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act and facility policies.
• Plan and direct the delivery of a resident’s care plan per orders and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and patient privacy.
• Provide prompt emergency support, including CPR.
• Develop daily work and unit assignments; assist nursing supervisors as needed.
• Oversee nursing staff and ensure proper policy execution.

Job Details: Job Location: Matagorda for Bay City - Matagorda, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: Any, RNs & LVNs: Eligible for Up to $50,000 in CMS Incentives! Join Paradigm Healthcare at a qualifying facility and make a difference in residents' lives while advancing your nursing career. Eligible nurses may qualify for up to $40,000 in student loan repayment and/or a $10,000 stipend through the CMS Nurses for Nursing Homes Program. Requirements include meeting CMS eligibility criteria, working an average of 30+ hours per week, and committing to three years of service. Incentives are administered by CMS and subject to eligibility and funding availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care in accordance with current physician’s orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
• Have knowledge of and utilize of the facility’s written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Be compliant with the policies and privacy of the facility and each patient.
• Provides prompt emergency support measures, including CPR.
• Develop daily work assignments and unit assignments, and/or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks.
• Ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off.
• Oversee nurse aides and communication with and oversight of nursing home staff to ensure that specific policies, procedures, and systems are maintained correctly as it relates to the department.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required
• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred
• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitive and restorative nursing practices preferred
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
