Job summary

GI Specialists of Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join The Endoscopy Center team. You will provide patient care from pre-op to post-procedure, work alongside physicians and techs, and uphold safety and comfort.

Requirements include GA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and experience in outpatient GI settings or PACU. You will mentor staff, maintain documentation, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in GA and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
• Experience in outpatient, GI, PACU, surgical, or procedural settings preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in moving patients up to 350 pounds.
• Strong critical thinking, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform compassionate care to patients before, during, and after procedures
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, monitor IVs, track vital signs and assist with patient preparation.
• Prep patients for procedures: educate, obtain consents, and ensure safety
• Assist during endoscopic procedures (EGDs, colonoscopies, etc.)
• Monitor recovery, ensure patient safety, and facilitate a smooth discharge process.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in emergent situations
• Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with AAAHC, OSHA, and infection control standards
• Foster a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment

Your Role:
