Job summary

GI Specialists of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Center. You will provide care across pre-op, intra-procedure, and post-procedure stages, collaborate with physicians and techs, and ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based practice, adherence to standards, and support for a culture of clinical excellence in a fast-paced GI environment.

Qualifications

• GA RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
• Experience in outpatient GI, PACU, surgical, or procedural settings preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in moving patients up to 350 pounds.
• Strong critical thinking, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform compassionate care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, monitor IVs, track vital signs and assist with patient preparation.
• Prep patients for procedures: educate, obtain consents, and ensure safety.
• Assist during endoscopic procedures (EGDs, colonoscopies, etc.).
• Monitor recovery, ensure patient safety, and facilitate a smooth discharge process.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in emergent situations.
• Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with AAAHC, OSHA, and infection control standards.
• Foster a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment.
• Mentor new team members and support a culture of excellence.

Your Role:

As a Registered Nurse at The Endoscopy Center, you will play a critical role in every stage of patient care from pre-op assessments to post-procedure recovery. You will be the calm in the storm, the reassuring voice, and the expert clinician working side-by-side with physicians and techs to provide seamless, safe, and patient-centered care.
