Job Summary

Registered Nurse – PACU, Full Time, Second Shift, Surgical Services. Location: Lexington, KY. Salary: $15,000 with sign‑on bonus available for qualified individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patients’ needs.
• Development of patient care plans.
• Provision of direct care.
• Management of patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Support for quality care.
• Customer relations and healing environment.
• On‑call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation.
• Provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.
• Clinical decision‑making incorporating all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate work to patient‑care techs, licensed practical nurses, unit secretaries, and students.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and complete it within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; if not certified, obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
