Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.

You will review and document care, outcomes, and evaluations, follow professional standards, and apply evidence-based practices while prioritizing care based on patient needs. Ongoing communication with physicians and hospital departments is required, with weekend rotation and call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
  • Review and document care provided, outcomes, and evaluations of care.
  • Follow professional standards of care and apply evidence-based practices to bedside caregiving.
  • Prioritize care based on changing assessment and patient needs.

Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse - PACU Full-Time 9a - 5:30p / 4 - 8 Hour Shifts Per Week Call and Weekend Rotation Required The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Follows the professional standards of care. Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients. Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
