Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Hawaii seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents according to facility policies. Administers medications and treatments, transcribes orders, maintains stock, and conducts assessments to meet residents’ needs.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges and collaboration with the care team. Part-time evening shift; Hawaii RN license required; geriatrics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Hawaii.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Transcribes physician orders to MAR and care plans.
• Maintains and orders inventory of medications and supplies.
• Conducts accurate physical assessments and implements interventions.
• Performs admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Administers medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Takes telephone orders from physicians and transcribes orders to new medication administration record, the pre-printed physician order sheet, resident chart, treatment/care plans as appropriate.
• Maintains & orders appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
• Performs assessments on admission, transfer and/or discharges.

Shift Schedule:

Part-Time, Evening Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm - Sun, Mon, Thurs, Sat (4 shifts per week).

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation required.
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
