Job summary

Kahu Malama Nurses in Kaneohe, HI is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a growing and dynamic team. This full-time contract role features an evening shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm.

You will provide nursing care in a residential mental health program, perform comprehensive health assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with psychiatrists and staff to support residents’ recovery and daily living skills.

Experience

• Experience administering oral and intramuscular medications

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to residents in a specialized residential mental health treatment program
• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer and monitor medications, including oral and intramuscular medications, and provide medication education
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
• Provide health education, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation support to help residents develop daily living skills
• Coordinate discharge planning and connect residents with community resources and support services
• Maintain accurate patient records, complete reports, and participate in treatment plan reviews and quality assurance activities
• Supervise assigned nursing staff, provide clinical guidance, coordinate assignments, and assist with staff training and performance evaluations
• Help maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable licensing and accreditation requirements
