Job summary

Kahu Malama Nurses in Kaneohe, HI seeks a Registered Nurse for an evening shift in a residential mental health program. You will assess residents, develop care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with psychiatrists and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.

The role requires an active Hawaii RN license and current BLS, with experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Evening shifts, 3:00pm–11:00pm, and full-time contract arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Hawaii is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience administering oral and intramuscular medications is expected.
• Psychiatric or mental health nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in a specialized residential mental health setting.
• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer and monitor medications (oral and intramuscular) and provide education.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and treatment teams to coordinate care.
• Provide health education, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation support.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resource connections.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in reviews and QA activities.
• Supervise nursing staff and assist with training and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and licensing requirements.

6. Coordinate discharge planning and connect residents with community resources and support services
7. Maintain accurate patient records, complete reports, and participate in treatment plan reviews and quality assurance activities
8. Supervise assigned nursing staff, provide clinical guidance, coordinate assignments, and assist with staff training and performance evaluations
9. Help maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable licensing and accreditation requirements
