Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Hale Makua Health Services in Kahului, Maui, to provide professional nursing care following facility policies. You will perform prescribed treatments, assess residents, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality care for elders.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Hawaii RN license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• TB clearance and health review (2-step) required or in-house.
• First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed nursing treatments and direct resident care according to orders and standards.
• Conduct accurate physical assessments and determine resident needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve care.
• Administer medications and maintain medication/treatment inventory as ordered.
• Oversee care delivery by CNAs.

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Provide prescribed nursing treatments and direct resident care according to provider orders and standards of practice.
• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
• Administers and maintains inventory of resident medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Oversees care delivery by CNAs

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
