Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Maui Kahului seeks a passionate Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care to residents per facility policies. The role focuses on wound care, assessments, and collaborative care planning.

Responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating with physicians, and mentoring CNAs to ensure high-quality resident outcomes in a 254-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (in-house possible).
• CPR/First Aid preferred (in-house possible).

• Provide prescribed nursing treatments and direct resident care per provider orders.
• Conduct accurate physical assessments and implement interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and agencies to improve care quality.
• Administer and maintain resident medications per physician orders and policy.

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.

The Position

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Provide prescribed nursing treatments and direct resident care according to provider orders and standards of practice.


• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.


• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.


• Administers and maintains inventory of resident medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.


• Oversees care delivery by CNAs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.


• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.


• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.


• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.


• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).


• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
