Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Houma is seeking PRN Registered Nurses for all shifts with ICU/Step-Down experience to join our patient-centered team in Houma, LA. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting and communicate effectively with physicians and co-workers.

We offer shift differentials for night and weekend shifts and an ESOP, reflecting our employee-owned culture. Louisiana RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• ICU, Critical Care or Step-Down experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in long-term acute care settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and co-workers to assess and respond to changes in a patient’s condition.

AMG Specialty Hospital-Houmais seeking PRN Registered Nurses, RN for All Shifts with ICU/Step-downexperience!

Ability to communicatewith physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient'sclinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditionor response totreatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in alldepartments with adequate supervision.Some of the medical conditions thatare commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failurerequiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/painmanagement, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management.Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Chronicnon-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequentdressing changes. RN'swill beresponsible fordirect andindirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
