Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital- Houma is seeking PRN Registered Nurses (RN) for all shifts with ICU/Step-down experience to join a dedicated team in Houma, LA. The role requires current Louisiana RN licensure and strong communication with physicians and colleagues to monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• ICU, Critical Care or Step-Down experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Effective English communication, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, CCO and co-workers about patient status and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.
• Provide care in long-term acute care settings with appropriate oversight.

Ability to communicatewith physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient'sclinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditionor response totreatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in alldepartments with adequate supervision.Some of the medical conditions thatare commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failurerequiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/painmanagement, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management.Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Chronicnon-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequentdressing changes. RN'swill beresponsible fordirect andindirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
