Job summary

Ford's Hometown Services in Unalaska, AK is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care across all ages in a rural clinic. This non‑exempt, day shift with rotating on‑call requires relocation and a strong commitment to patient safety.

You will assess and triage patients, administer medications, develop care plans, and support clinic operations. Alaska RN license or eligibility within 90 days, BLS; ACLS/PALS/TNCC within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• Alaska RN license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS & TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
• Accredited Nursing Program (BSN, Diploma, or ADN).
• 2 years nursing experience – Required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan.
• Develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications & therapeutic measures.
• Assist with emergency/urgent care procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safe environments.
• Perform dispensary duties.
• Document all nursing interventions accurately.

Department: Clinical Support Staff
Schedule: Day shift + rotating on-call
Location: Unalaska, AK (Relocation Required)

ROLE SUMMARY

Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, including after‑hours urgent and emergent needs. Work independently, think critically, and deliver excellent customer service in a rural medical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications & therapeutic measures
• Assistwith emergency/urgent care procedures

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Strong clinical assessment & triage skills

• Ability to obtain IV/IO access

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Alaska RN License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
