Base pay range

$1.00/hr - $53.63/hr

Title: Registered Nurse

Specialty: Med Surg

Location: Detroit, MI 48236

Duration: 13 weeks contract (Strong possibility of extension)

Shift: 1900-0730, Every other weekend, every other holiday

No on call, no block scheduling available.

Pay Range: $50 - $53.63/ hr. (DOE)

Note

• At least 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg-Tele unit required.
• Prior experience with Geriatric patients Strongly preferred.
• NIHSS Cert Strongly preferred.
• Will be working on ACE (Acute Care of Elderly) unit.
• 60+ year old Patients.
• 1:5 Ratio
• Stroke Overflow unit
• Diverse patient population
  
  

Job Summary:

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  
  

Required Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  
  

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
  
  

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
