Responsibilities

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join a residential behavioral health care team in Davenport, Iowa.

This opportunity offers the chance to work in a small, 15-bed residential setting, building meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals experiencing mental health and medical challenges.

The Residential Nurse plays an important role in providing quality nursing care, supporting individualized treatment plans, coordinating care with other team members, and promoting residents' health, safety, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a charge nurse and provide direction and guidance to other staff members.
• Plan and coordinate nursing activities in accordance with applicable Iowa regulations, nursing standards, and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide general nursing care and support the delivery of high-quality residential services.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately, administer medications, and provide prescribed treatments.
• Monitor residents' responses to treatment, report changes in condition, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized resident treatment plans.
• Educate residents according to their individual care and treatment needs.
• Support residents in developing daily living, social, functional, advocacy, and community integration skills.
• Promote residents' physical and emotional well-being, independence, and quality of life.
• Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure consistent, compassionate, and effective care.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Current, valid Iowa license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully and constructively with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to meet pre-employment physical examination and drug and alcohol screening requirements.
