Job summary

ALG Senior in Alabama is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to lead resident clinical care in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. In this leadership role you will supervise care staff, coordinate medication delivery, and help foster a safe, compassionate environment for residents.

The ideal candidate brings an unrestricted RN license, 3–5 years in nursing with supervisory experience, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
  • 3–5 years nursing experience preferred, with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience caring for seniors or memory care is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medication administration systems and clinical best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Resident Clinical Care Oversight: supervise and coordinate personal care, clinical services, and medication delivery to ensure quality care and compliance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Care Planning & Assessments: complete resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, monitor changes in condition, and coordinate follow-up interventions.
  • Medication Management: oversee medication systems, ensure Medication Aides are properly trained, verify MARs, and maintain safe medication storage.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: lead, train, coach, and supervise care staff to ensure excellent performance and compassionate resident support.
  • Family & Physician Communication: serve as liaison between residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
  • Regulatory Compliance: ensure compliance with state licensing, OSHA standards, infection control, and resident rights regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: participate in QA initiatives, audit records, review incidents, and support continuous improvement.
  • Scheduling & Staffing Support: assist with staffing schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Supplies & Inventory: coordinate ordering and inventory of nursing and care supplies.
  • Emergency Preparedness: support emergency procedures and resident safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare preferred
  • Experience caring for seniors and individuals with cognitive decline preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Knowledge of medication administration systems and clinical best practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and health screening requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the workday
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
