Forefront Dermatology in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PRN role that may lead to full-time. Responsibilities include pre-op, operating room, and PACU tasks, vital signs, IV starts, and post-op instructions, with scheduling flexibility based on surgical volume and patient care needs.

Ideal candidates hold Maryland RN license, a 2-year RN or 4-year BSN, and current BLS/ACLS certification. Competitive salary, benefits, PTO, and insurance are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Maryland (RN’s Only)

Responsabilités

• Prepare pre-op patients for surgery
• Monitor vital signs and patient status
• Explain postoperative instructions to patients
• Start IVs and manage IV medications
• Position and reposition patients for surgery
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgeons
• Provide intraoperative assistance to OR staff
• Transport patients from OR to PACU
• Recover patients in PACU and discharge when ready
• Maintain sterile technique and surgical readiness
• Clean the surgical suite after procedures
• Document in EMR and paper charts

Summary:

Fast paced Plastic Surgery office with a Certified Surgery Center located in Bethesda, MD is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include working in the areas of Pre-Op, Operating Room and PACU. Experience in Plastic Surgery, L&D, PACU and/or OR experience is preferred. Experience in ICU and ER would be considered. This is a PRN position potentially leading to a full-time position with typical hours of 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, however, flexibility with scheduling is required based on surgical volume and patient care needs.
