Qualifications

  • Completion of a JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology is required.
  • ARRT-MR licensure and CPR certification are mandatory.

Registered MRI Technologist, First Shift, Radiology Department

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered MRI Technologist for the radiology department at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We are offering up to an $8,000 sign-on bonus!

The Registered MRI Technologist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Radiology Department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging according to established protocols. This includes reviewing the appropriateness and completeness of patient histories and requests for services.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Completion of a JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology
  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • ARRT-MR licensure is required.
  • Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicates clearly and appropriately with patients and staff, responding to varying needs.
  • Performs all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, explaining procedures, reviewing safety protocols, and ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Operates complex imaging equipment safely and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability.
  • Reviews and administers medications as directed by physicians and provides continuous patient care post-procedure.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media or medications orally and intravenously.
  • Assists in emergency procedures, including CPR, as needed.
  • Maintains records, participates in quality control, and evaluates department performance for improvements.
