Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant for the Northwest HealthCare primary care team in the St. Louis area. The role requires familiarity with Epic and about 5 years of experience in a primary care setting.

You will support physicians with patient intake, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and charting, while delivering quality care across ages from pediatrics to adults. This role emphasizes accurate documentation and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• CPR certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate charting in the patient’s record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.
