Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in Primary Care at Creve Coeur, MO. The MA provides clinical support under physician supervision, including vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs and injections, while maintaining patient records and assisting with exam room readiness.

This role offers a day shift, 40-hour work week, benefit eligibility, and a sign-on bonus. No calls, weekends, or holidays required, with a supportive team in a respected health system.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required
• Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise preferred (licensure)

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks exam room supplies.
• Obtains vital signs and patient history; maintains charting.
• Perform clinical skills: phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, point-of-care testing.
• Triage calls and communicate test results to providers with proper terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
